SOIL TESTING AND SITE CLASSIFICATION

The Sydney Soil Testing team conducts soil tests across both residential and commercial areas, our expert team conducts soil analysis onsite and provide results and soil classification within an industry approved report according to the Australian Standard AS2870.

Soil testing is the first step in the building process, the soil testing and classification process is used to determine the reactivity of the soil. The reactivity of a soil is measured by the swelling and shrinking of the soil as a result of moisture.

Our qualified team are experts in soil classification across all parts of Victoria and New South Wales. We have 35 years’ experience in the study of Australian soils and site classifications, we provide accurate results on time with competitive prices.

SOIL CONTAMINATION TESTING

Sydney Soil Testing conduct soil contamination testing across all areas of Victoria and New South Wales.

Our team of experts collect samples and classify the soil in accordance with the EPA guidelines, we use industry leading laboratories to analyse the samples and provide high quality systematic reports in accordance with the Australian industry regulations.

We commonly assist Childcare Centres requiring contamination testing and our services are performed in accordance with:

EPA Publication IWRG702 (2009) “Industrial Waste Resource Guidelines –Soil Sampling”,

and

EPA Publication IWRG702 (2009) “Industrial Waste Resource Guidelines –Soil Hazard Categorization and Management”

We can also assist to test and classify soils for disposal at an approved facility or even provide an Acid Sulphate Investigation report!

LAND CAPABILITY ASSESSMENT (LCA)

Sydney Soil Testing provide Land Capability Assessments (LCA), these assessments are undertaken by qualified Environmental scientists and engineers providing thorough detailed analysis in accordance with EPA code of practice for on-site wastewater management.

Land Capability Assessments are a thorough examination which assess the existing wastewater management capability.

BUSHFIRE MANAGEMENT OVERLAY & BUSHFIRE ATTACK LEVEL

Sydney Soil Testing conduct Bushfire Attack Level Assessments (BAL) these detailed assessments are used to identify the bushfire hazards and classify the level of risk to a building area posed by a bushfire.

Bushfire Attack Level assessments provide expert recommendations which will help protect your construction against a potential bushfire.

Bushfire Management Overlay (BMO) reports are conducted by Sydney Soil Testing.

This type of report is required at the beginning of the construction process, the BMO is a detailed report which incorporates bushfire protection recommendations for your property.

Bushfire Management Overlays ensure that all construction maintains a +150m defendable area for all fire management operations to safely occur.

WIND RATING ASSESSMENT

Wind rating assessments are undertaken to classify the strength of the gusts of wind within the region where construction is proposed.

These assessments are integral to the longevity of constructions ensure a structures durability against strong wind fronts.

AGRICULTURE AND HORTICULTURE SOIL TESTING

Sydney Soil Testing conduct nutrient testing analysis for soils used for cropping, turf, vineyards and orchards.

This includes recommendations for N:K:P fertilizers, and the addition of Lime or sulphur to make Ph changes to the soil.

It is vital to measure the nutrient value of the land in order to make agricultural and horticultural decisions. Soil testing for this purpose helps to find out the nutrient sufficiency and pH level of the soil.
